Present!
I surrender the matter That starts at the center A bedazzled mad hatter Scratches rashes, Tormentor At the core of the story We all have our gashes Torn and unholy Practically savage And though it’s unspoken Henceforth, it’s unbroken That every moment From this moment Is born but frozen In what’s unchosen It’s so boring It’s banal The scoring, gory From the scar Of just one brawl One unseen claw Shaping, creating Who we are And it’s just so sad That childhood’s hand Has talons hidden In fingernail beds So we take those shears And we cut through Frail fears To reveal What’s unclear Through a rabbit hole— Hi! I’m here.

Whoa. I felt this one... my childhood had claws... And it’s just so sad
That childhood’s hand
Has talons hidden
In fingernail beds
This is a deep one, I'm still vibrating with it. Love, Virg
I love it but I’m still trying to parse it.
